The restaurant was once known as Kimchee. The restaurant is the same in many aspects and the food pretty much taste the same although some of the presentation is slight different such as that of the pancake.

We had the roll with shrimps, bibimbap, the glass noodles and seafood pancake. The roll wrapped with vegetable and shrimp, is a cold, refreshing dish. It was simple but the taste amazing with a hint of sesame with various textures, the crunch of the vegetables and the softness of shrimps and rice paper.

The glass noodles has always been one of my favourite dish it quite often it can be flawed by having too much oil. It didn’t happen here it was delicious, great balance of meat and vegetables. Korean pancake was crisp and it’s dry in between not gooey or greasy. The bibimbap was great, the stone pot was hot enough to make the rice at the bottom crisp, there was a great balance between the vegetables and meat

This is a very nice restaurant to enjoy a lovely, cheap meal between close friends.

Address: 887 Finchley Road, London NW11 8RR . Tel: 020 8455 1035

Value for Money: 8/10 Food: 8/10 Service: 6/10

PP: £15.00

Additional comments: definitely going back there

The old tree is a small cafe which sells bakery and Taiwanese food. I tried the Taiwanese Fried noodles and strawberry and chocolate chip puff.

The noodles were interesting, not quite fried or stir fry, there was a generous amount of vegetable. The puff was my favorite, fresh strawberries and chocolate chip was a great combo.

I was not keen on the service, I had better and there was a definite language barrier
